Job summary

Oak Knoll Rehab & Healthcare Center is seeking a reliable Dietary Assistant to support meal preparation and service for residents in a safe, sanitary setting. You will work with the Dietitian to follow menus, portion meals, and help ensure timely delivery during mealtimes.

Candidates should have healthcare food service experience or be willing to learn, with strong English reading/writing skills and ability to follow dietary restrictions.

Qualifications

• Prior food service experience preferred (especially in healthcare).
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral/written instructions in English.
• Familiarity with dietary restrictions and therapeutic diets is a plus.
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift throughout your shift.
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Follow menus and production schedules with the Food Service Manager and Dietitian.
• Prepare, portion, and serve meals according to therapeutic diets and resident preferences.
• Set up trays/place settings based on individual dietary needs.
• Prepare snacks, beverages, and nourishments.
• Assist in stocking, storing food, and organizing supplies.
• Clean kitchen areas, dishes, utensils, and equipment per sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work environment.
• Support vending par level preparation.
• Assist during mealtimes and help ensure timely delivery of food.
• Attend departmental meetings and perform other related duties as assigned.

• Follow all food safety and infection control protocols

• Maintain a neat and orderly work environment

• Support vending par level preparation (snacks, entrees, etc.)

• Assist during mealtimes and help ensure timely delivery of food

• Attend departmental meetings and perform other related duties as assigned
