Job summary

Ebenezer is looking for a Dietary Assistant/Server to join our team at Martin Luther Care Center in Bloomington, MN. You will provide dining room meal service to our senior residents and help maintain the kitchenettes for our Skilled Nursing Facility.

This role supports meals, resident happiness, sanitation, and basic kitchen tasks, with day/evening shifts and every other weekend. Excellent customer service and compassion are essential.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
• Ability to interact compassionately with residents.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and keep dining area clean.
• Promote positive resident relations during meal service.
• Sanitize equipment and work areas; maintain supplies.
• Assist with meal prep and event tasks.
• Provide kitchen support including dishwashing and floor cleaning.
• Answer phones and relay requests to the team.
• Desire to work with seniors.
• Interact effectively with residents and staff.

Job Overview

Ebenezer is looking for a Dietary Assistant/Server to join our team! This role is responsible for dining room meal service to our senior age residents and maintaining supplies in the kitchenettes for our Skilled Nursing Facility in Bloomington, MN.

This nutrition services schedule includes;

• 80 hours per two weeks
• Day/Evening shift
• Includes every other weekend

Martin Luther Care Center, part of the Martin Luther Senior Living Campus is located in East Bloomington, near woodlands/wetlands and along the Minnesota River Bluffs. Serves prepared meals to residents and ensures the dining area is clean and inviting

Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and happiness with their meal service

Sanitizes equipment, work areas and maintains supplies

Assists with meal prep and special events

Provides kitchen support when needed with dish washing and cleaning of floors

Answers phones and communicates requests appropriately

No previous experience required, but prefer work experience in a customer service setting

Excellent customer service skills and proficiency, teamwork and positive demeanor required

Desire to work with seniors

Ability to interact compassionately and communicate effectively with residents and staff
