Job summary

Cypress Pointe Health & Wellness is seeking Dietary Aides/Tray Aides/Kitchen Staff to join our full-time team. You will assist in meal preparation, transportation, and service within the health center dining areas, ensuring adherence to dietary orders and quality standards.

Responsibilities include tray assembly, dishwashing, stock maintenance, and providing courteous service to residents. Prior food service experience is preferred, and we offer competitive benefits and a supportive work culture.

Qualifications

• English language and basic communication required.
• Experience in nursing home food service preferred but not required.
• Ability to plan and assemble trays according to diet orders.
• Empathy for residents and ability to work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepares therapeutic desserts and salads as required.
• Serves meals in the health center pantries.
• Sets up and clears dining tables.
• Transports foods and non-food items to pantries and dining rooms.
• Washes dishes and maintains sanitation in pantries.
• Provides snacks and supplements per diet orders.
• Maintains stock and sanitation of beverages in dining areas.
• Answers questions about menu items and diet orders.

Responsibilities

• Prepares therapeutic desserts and salads as required
• Serves meals in the health center pantries
• Sets up tables in the health center dining room(s) and breaks them down after the meals
• Transports hot and cold foods to and from the health center pantries
• Transports all required non-food items to and from the health center pantries
• Washes silver, glass, china in dish machines in pantries as per regulation
• Provides health center snacks and supplements per diet orders
• Maintains stock and sanitation levels in coffee and juice machines in dining rooms
• Sets tables and maintains work stations in proper order
• Takes order, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously
• Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service
• Answers pertinent questions about menu items
• Ensures that orders match Physician's diet orders

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, perform simple arithmetic, and understand measurements and conversions
• Previous experience in nursing home food service preferred, but not required
• Ability to plan, organize and set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interpret specifications and standards
• Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Requires empathy for the elderly
