Job summary

Yona is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our team in Michigan. You will provide warm, friendly hospitality to residents, visitors, and coworkers while supporting meal service and dining area upkeep. You will work under a dietary manager or cook, set up dining spaces, and help with meal delivery and sanitation.

Responsibilities include stocking ingredients, assisting with menu planning, and maintaining equipment. A high school diploma is required, and prior dietary aide experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a dietary aide.
• Experience in customer service is a plus.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Apt in operating cookware, bakeware and cooking appliances.
• Friendly with good communication skills.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order
• Prepare meals under the supervision of a dietary manager or cook
• Deliver dishes and trays at designated times and rooms
• Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses etc
• Discard leftovers and take out garbage
• Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory
• Assist in keeping track of expenses and menu planning
• Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances
