Job summary

Caldera Care's Spokane Falls Care in Spokane, WA is hiring a Dietary Aide to assist dining services for residents. This on-site role offers full-time, part-time or PRN shifts with pay $17.00-$19.00 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities include preparing meals and snacks, serving meals, maintaining cleanliness, and following health code requirements. Candidates should have basic English literacy and an interest in geriatrics; prior dietary experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• Interested in geriatrics and able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Knowledgeable and experienced in dietary techniques and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepares meals, desserts and snacks according to the posted menu and dietary needs.
• Serves meals in a palatable and presentable way.
• Keeps work area clean, organized and sanitized; may wash pots and pans.
• Follows health code requirements for food storage and hot/cold holding temperatures and maintains documentation.

• Prepares meals, desserts and snacks in accordance with the posted menu schedule; makes sure that all special diets and dietary concerns are followed
• Serves meals that are palatable and presentable
• Responsible for keeping work area clean, organized, sanitized, may include washing pots and pans, etc
• Knows health code requirements for food and beverage storage and hot/cold holding temperatures and maintains documentation

Cook Qualifications and Skills

• Must be interested in geriatrics, be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Knowledgeable and experience in dietary techniques and procedures
