Job summary

Recover-Care is hiring a Dietary Aide to assist in the preparation, service, and cleanup of meals for patients and staff in a nursing center and at special events.

The role involves assisting the cook, labeling nourishments, portioning foods, and following production and prep sheets to ensure safe, timely meal service.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand English for business necessity.
• Basic understanding of sanitation, organization and safety.
• Prior experience in food service preferred.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists cook as directed by the food service director.
• Prepares and labels nourishments according to center procedures.
• Prepares and portions desserts, salads and other non-entrée foods into dishes; pours beverages.
• Follows production sheets and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriate.
