Position Summary:

The Dietary Aide - Server assists with food preparation, food service, and general duties of the dietary department.

1. Assists in the preparation of food and is responsible for serving meals, snacks, and beverages using portion control and applicable sanitation practices.
2. Delivers meals to resident rooms or tables and sets up meal trays according to dietary orders and tray cards, ensuring timely service of proper diets and preferences.
3. Keeps the kitchen, dietary equipment, and dining area clean and sanitary, including work areas and floors.
4. Cleans utensils, dishes, and pots and pans, ensuring dishwasher functionality and proper storage.
5. Ensures proper storage, rotation, preparation, and labeling of food per guidelines, discarding outdated items.
6. Collaborates with dietary staff to maintain equipment, records temperatures, and reports issues immediately.
7. Follows safety protocols, infection control, and chemical handling procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
8. Greets residents, visitors, and staff courteously, respecting dignity, confidentiality, and rights.
9. Resets dining areas for subsequent meals and ensures supplies are replenished.
10. Assists with storing incoming food and supplies.
11. Participates in training, in-services, and staff meetings.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
