HMR Veterans Services in Bay Minette, Alabama, invites you to join as a Dietary Staff to support meals for veterans. You will work with our facility dietitian to implement dietary guidelines and ensure timely meal service, portion control, and special meals as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Follow oral and written instructions and maintain cleanliness, safety, and order in food service areas.
• Patience, tact, and a positive attitude when interacting with residents and others.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the facility dietitian and implement recommended changes.
• Maintain effective communication with interdepartmental staff to ensure quality food service.
• Prepare and serve meals on time, following portion control and dietary guidelines; assist with special meals and snacks.
• Set up and clean dining areas, trays, and carts; wash and store utensils and equipment properly.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary storage, prep, and service areas; follow all health and safety protocols.
• Monitor food inventory, assist with deliveries, substitutions, and report issues or recommend improvements to the Dietary Manager.
