Job summary

You will wash and sanitize dishes, maintain kitchen surfaces, store clean items, remove trash, monitor stock, and support residents with safe, timely meal service as part of a cooperative dietary and kitchen team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables and dining areas with precision, emphasizing cleanliness and order.
• Prepare meals under the guidance of a dietary manager or cook, ensuring adherence to instructions and safety standards.
• Ability to follow sanitation and safety procedures
• Work effectively as part of a team
• Perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting, bending, and carrying items.
• Assist in post-meal cleanup by clearing dining areas and collecting plates and utensils.
• Maintain hygiene by disposing of leftovers and taking out garbage.
• Keep food stations clean, wash dishes, cooking equipment, and silverware.
• Monitor ingredient stock levels and maintain inventory.
• Contribute to the upkeep of kitchen equipment and appliances.
