Position Details

Title: Dietary Aide

FLSA: Non-Exempt, Part-Time

Work Hours: Varies Shift, Weekend

Wage Rate: $16.00 - $19.00/hr, based on experience

Job Description

Sedgebrook is recruiting a hospitality-focused Dietary Aide responsible for preparing and serving therapeutic diet trays to residents in accordance with posted menus.

Essential Duties

• Serve meals in health center pantries.
• Wash silver, glass, and china in dish machines following regulations.
• Provide snacks and supplements as per diet orders.
• Maintain stock and sanitation levels in coffee and juice machines.
• Set tables and keep workstations organized.
• Take orders and serve courteously.
• Clear dishes during and after meals.
• Ensure orders match Physician's diet specifications.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform basic arithmetic, including measurements and conversions.
• Ability to plan, organize work, and interpret diet specifications.
• Ability to work cooperatively with residents, visitors, families, and staff with empathy for the elderly.
