Job summary

Briarcliff Manor Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team on a PRN basis. You will help prepare and serve nutritious meals in a clean, safe environment while supporting residents with warmth and respect.

This role emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and adherence to sanitation standards. Shifts available include morning and late afternoon, and you’ll be part of a dedicated dietary services team committed to resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred (training available).
• Reliable, responsible, and eager to contribute to a team environment.
• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting elderly and disabled residents.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time, in uniform, and ready to work.
• Prepare, handle, and serve food following all sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
• Deliver food carts, trays, and supplies to dining areas and resident rooms.
• Serve meals and snacks with warmth and professionalism.
• Assist with routine cleaning duties according to facility standards.
• Report any concerns or equipment issues promptly to the Food Services Supervisor.
• Provide kind and respectful service to residents, families, and staff.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Food Services Director.
