Overview

At FutureCare, our Dietary Aides/Porters are an integral part of the Food & Hospitality Department, ensuring proper delivery of nutritional services to our residents. Under the direction of the Clinical Food Service Director, the Dietary Aide/Porter will follow proper food sanitation, handling, and safe serve policies set forth by the facility.

Salary

Competitive Pay $15.70 - 17.50/hr***

Salary Disclosure Statement: The salary mentioned above reflects the potential base pay range for this role. Bonuses or other incentives (if applicable) are offered separately. Offers will consider factors such as overall experience, job-related qualifications, location, certifications/training, etc.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods
• Serves and delivers food to residents as required
• Maintains cleanliness of dining areas as assigned
• Properly stores food utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage
• Transports/delivers food/beverage items to assigned residents
• Assists Lead Porter or other staff in lifting or transporting large utilities within the kitchen area
• Loads/operates dishwasher machine
• Ensures proper temperature, chemical supplies, and clean water levels are maintained for sanitation

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare environment preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Courtious and friendly demeanor at all times
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for 8 hours or longer
• Ability to lift, push, and pull food carts and supplies up to 50 lbs
• Diplomatic and respectful interaction with residents and staff
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
