Job summary

The Sisters of Mercy in Fremont, Ohio invites a compassionate Dietary Aide to join our mission-driven team providing meals and hospitality to our retired Sisters and guests. You’ll help in meal service, dining room setup, sanitation, and grocery runs, supporting the nursing and dietary teams with a service-oriented mindset.

We value reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to obtain ServSafe certification to ensure the highest standards of food safety and care for our community.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual transportation to work.
• Respectful, service-oriented attitude and flexibility.
• Willingness to support nursing and dietary team needs.
• Ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to obtain ServSafe Food Handler Certification within one month of hire; in-house training is available.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals to Sisters and guests.
• Set up, clean, and maintain dining areas.
• Wash dishes and maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation.
• Store and rotate food supplies properly.
• Follow food safety and infection‑control procedures.
• Assist with grocery runs and occasional meal pickups.
• Help maintain safe, clean, and organized kitchen operations.
• Communicate professionally with Sisters, staff, and volunteers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
