Job summary

Allina Health in Saint Paul is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with patient and staff meals, ensuring safe food handling and accurate plating. You will support the cafeteria, catering and tray delivery, and help keep service areas clean and organized.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 0–2 years in food service, and are comfortable with cash register duties. The role includes 0.7 FTE shifts of 8 hours, and a defined pay range based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 1 year of food service experience.
• 0–2 years of food service and/or sanitation experience preferred with a diploma.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and set-up of meals for patients and staff.
• Follow cycle menus and assemble patient trays according to dietary needs.
• Deliver and retrieve patient trays and assist in cafeteria and catering.
• Maintain food safety with proper temperatures, labeling, and sanitation.
• May operate a cash register.
