Job summary

Generations Healthcare is seeking a Dietary Aide at our Tustin, California facility. This per diem role offers a $20/hour wage to support our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team in providing compassionate care and quality meals to residents.

You will assist with food service functions, follow established policies, and work closely with the dietitian to ensure proper meal preparation and sanitation. Background checks and pre-employment screenings are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
• Must follow oral and written instructions.
• Maintain care and use of supplies, equipment, and inspect food service areas for sanitation, order, safety and performance of duties.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm with residents at various maturity levels.
• Ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all food functions as directed and per established policies.
• Inspect special diet trays to ensure correct diet is served.
• Complete necessary forms/reports and submit to Director of Food Services.
• Coordinate food service with other departments and work with the facility\'s dietitian as needed.
• Ensure adherence to food procedures and policies.
• Prepare meals according to planned menus.
