Job summary

North Cascades Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bellingham, WA is seeking a reliable Dietary Aide to join our dedicated dietary department. This part-time weekend position supports culinary operations, meal service, and nutrition care with an emphasis on freshness, safety, and hospitality.

Responsibilities include reading tray orders, placing utensils and condiments, serving meals at the correct temperature, and keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean.

Qualifications

• Required: Food Handlers' Permit.
• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Skill and ability to learn to operate kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read production orders on tray cards.
• Places items, such as eating utensils, napkins, straws, condiments, and tray cards on trays.
• Performs food preparation tasks as assigned.
• Serve assigned food on trays at proper time, attractively, and at correct temperature. May help with food preparation.
• Pushes carts to halls or kitchen.
• Washes dishes and cleans work area
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness
