Job summary

Spring Oak Senior Living in Toms River, NJ is seeking a dependable Dietary Aide to join our team. This part-time position involves preparing and serving meals, assisting residents during mealtimes, and following dietary plans to ensure high-quality dining experiences for our residents.

In this role you will help clean and sanitize kitchen areas, support with dishwashing, and follow strict food safety procedures. The schedule includes Mondays 3:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Previous dietary, food service, or kitchen experience preferred, especially in assisted living or a nursing home.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and organization.
• A patient, compassionate approach to assisting older adults.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependability and flexibility to cover additional shifts.

• Help residents with mealtime needs, including feeding and drinking assistance as directed.
• Follow dietary guidelines, individual meal plans, and special requests.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• Assist with dishwashing, food preparation, and dining room setup and cleanup.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.
• Work with the dietary team to ensure meals are served accurately and on time.
• Provide friendly, respectful service to residents and communicate their needs or concerns to the appropriate team member.
