Job summary

Spring Oak at Toms River is seeking a dependable Part-Time Maintenance Technician to keep our senior living community safe, comfortable, and looking its best. Under the direction of the Maintenance Services Director, you’ll handle a variety of repair projects.

The role requires hands-on experience in at least two trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or HVAC), and evening/weekend availability with on-call coverage is expected. Compensation is $18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Repair appliances and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with weather-related maintenance, snow removal, and on-call coverage as needed.
• Communicate maintenance needs and concerns to leadership.

Requirements:

• Maintain the building and grounds to create a clean, safe, and welcoming community.

• Complete general repairs, including light electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC tasks within your experience.

• Handle drywall repairs, painting, and routine upkeep.

• Perform minor repairs on appliances and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies.

• Help protect the property during inclement weather, including snow removal, salting, and responding to weather‑related maintenance concerns.

• Store chemicals, tools, and equipment safely and keep work areas organized.

• Communicate maintenance needs and concerns to community leadership.

• Carry a cell phone and participate in on‑call coverage as needed.
