Generations Healthcare is seeking a Dietary Aide for a Skilled Nursing facility in San Jacinto, CA. The role pays $17–$18 per hour and focuses on aiding diet-related services in a resident-centered environment.

The successful candidate will work with the Dietitian and Food Services Director, follow established policies, and support meal service, sanitation, and resident care with empathy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Must pass background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Patient, tactful, cheerful disposition with residents.
• Maintain sanitation and safety of food service areas.

Dietary Aide - Skilled Nursing

$17.-18.00 per hour

Position Overview:

The primary role of the Dietary Aide is to provide assistance in all food functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures.

Essential Duties (include but are not limited to):

• Work with the facility’s Dietitian/ Director of Food Services as necessary and implement recommended changes as required.
• Ensure that all food procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel as well as with other departments within the facility to assure that food service can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the residents.
• Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties.
• Set up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed.
• Assist cook in preparing meals.
• Distribute and collect menus as necessary.
• Obtain food supplies for next meal.
• Assist in checking diet trays before distribution.
• Deliver food carts, trays, etc., to designated areas.

Qualifications:

• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, the appearance of work areas, and perform regular inspections of food service areas for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of assigned duties.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.
• This position requires the successful completion of a background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
