Job summary

Bayberry Skilled Nursing and Healthcare Center, a Generations Healthcare facility, seeks a Dietary Aide to join our team. The primary role is to provide assistance in all food functions as directed, following established policies and procedures.

The position supports meal service, works with the facility’s Dietitian/Director of Food Services, and helps ensure residents receive nutritious meals in a caring environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be 18 or older and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food service functions per policies and procedures.

• Serve meals and set up dining areas and trays.
• Prepare and check diet trays before distribution.

Starting at $19.50 - $20.00 DOE / 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM (Including weekends) Bayberry Skilled Nursing and Healthcare Center, a Generations Healthcare facility, is in search of a Dietary Aide to join our team. Position Overview:

The primary role of the Dietary Aide is to provide assistance in all food functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures.

Essential Duties (include but are not limited to):

• Work with the facility’s Dietitian/ Director of Food Services as necessary and implement recommended changes as required.
• Ensure that all food procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel as well as with other departments within the facility to assure that food service can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the residents.
• Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Set up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed.
• Assist cook in preparing meals.
• Distribute and collect menus, as necessary.
• Obtain food supplies for next meal.
• Assist in checking diet trays before distribution.
• Deliver food carts, trays, etc., to designated areas.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 or older, have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, the appearance of work areas, and perform regular inspections of food service areas for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level, they are currently functioning.
• Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate.
• This position requires the successful completion of a background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
