Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist with meal preparation, tray setup, and meal service following physician orders and dietary guidelines.
  • Deliver meals, snacks, and beverages to residents with accuracy and quality.
  • Provide feeding assistance to residents as assigned and trained.
  • Follow portion control standards and accommodate therapeutic diets (diabetic, cardiac, low-sodium, texture-modified).
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, dining areas, workstations, and surfaces.
  • Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, cookware, and equipment.
  • Stock food items, beverages, and supplies; assist with inventory organization.
  • Follow facility policies related to food safety, sanitation, infection control, and workplace safety.
  • Provide courteous and respectful service to residents, families, visitors, and staff.
  • Support special events and dietary department functions as needed.
  • Collaborate with dietary staff to ensure efficient meal service and resident satisfaction.

Position Summary

Moraga Post Acute is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and service-oriented Dietary Aide to join our Dietary Services team. This role is essential to providing quality nutritional care and an enjoyable dining experience for our residents. The Dietary Aide assists with meal preparation, food service, dining room support, and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in accordance with healthcare and food safety standards.
