Job summary

Hollenbeck Palms in Los Angeles, CA invites you to join us as a part-time Dietary Aide. You will assist with meal service, dishwashing, and kitchen support for a long-standing senior community dedicated to quality care.

This in-person role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and English proficiency. Weekend availability and either morning or afternoon shifts are preferred.

Qualifications

• Fingerprinting (DOJ/FBI) and background check required.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Collect, wash, dry, and put away dishware and serving utensils.
• Transport food and stock dining rooms.
• Read diet cards and serve meals per protocols.
• Follow infection prevention and food safety guidelines.

Responsibilities and Duties

Under the general direction of a supervisor, collects, washes, dries, puts away dishware, pots, trays, equipment, transports food, stocks health center dining rooms, and cleans work area. Reads diet cards, and serves meals accordingly following infection prevention and food safety protocols.

Schedule

• Morning and/or afternoons
• Must be available to work weekends

Ability to commute/relocate

• Los Angeles, CA 90033: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience

• Food service: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Location: In person

Requirements

• Clear fingerprinting through DOJ and FBI and general background check
• Customer Service and Dishwasher experience preferred
• Must be responsible and sensitive to the needs of frail elderly in a retirement setting
• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent certificate.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in the English language consistent with the dominant language of facility's residents
• Must be able to push, pull and, lift up to 50lbs
