Visalia Post Acute is seeking a dependable On-Call Dietary Aide to join our team in Visalia, CA. You will assist with meal preparation and provide friendly, attentive meal service to residents, supporting their nutrition, comfort, and well-being.

Schedule is on-call with coverage as needed; hours may vary based on facility needs. Previous food service, healthcare dietary experience, and a caring, team-focused attitude are valued as you help maintain a safe, welcoming dining environment.

Qualifications

• Previous food service or healthcare dietary experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Dependable attendance, a positive attitude, and strong teamwork skills.
• Willingness to provide coverage for varying shifts as needed.
• A caring and respectful approach to working with residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and serving meals according to approved menus and resident dietary needs.
• Assemble meal trays with the correct foods, portions, beverages, and utensils.
• Follow instructions for special diets, food textures, and resident preferences.
• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and work areas.
• Maintain clean and organized kitchen, dining, and storage areas.
• Assist with receiving, labeling, and properly storing food and supplies.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures.
• Communicate resident meal concerns to the Dietary Supervisor.
• Work cooperatively with dietary and nursing staff to provide timely, courteous service.
