Job summary

Modesto Post Acute Center is seeking a Cook/Dietary Aide to prepare nutritious meals and maintain sanitary kitchen operations. The role supports residents, coordinates with the Food Service Team, and ensures dietary needs are met while upholding safety standards.

The position requires at least 1 year of food service experience; English literacy is essential. High school diploma or GED is preferred. Work is on-site in Modesto, CA.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in food services.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in dietary department of healthcare or skilled nursing preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Working with the Food Service Team to ensure diet is in accordance with the residents nutritional needs.
• Reviewing menus prior to food preparation.
• Handling food in a sanitary manner.
• Preparing and serving dietary trays according to dietary orders.
• Delivering food, nourishments and supplies to the nursing station/hall on time.
• Adhering to sanitation and food safety guidelines during meal preparation and clean up.
• Maintaining confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
