Job summary

East Towne is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to support our culinary team in delivering nutritious meals to residents. You will assist with meal preparation, portioning, and serving while ensuring a pleasant dining experience for all residents.

In this role, you will help maintain kitchen cleanliness, follow food safety protocols, manage inventory, and assist with special dietary requests, working closely with the dietary team to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in food service is preferred but not required.
• Solid knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Able to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare, portion, and serve meals according to dietary plans.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen and dining areas.
• Assist residents during meal setup, serving, and dining for a positive experience.
• Follow all food safety protocols including storage and sanitation.
• Receive and store food supplies, monitor inventory, and report shortages.
• Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Fulfill special dietary requests and respect residents' preferences.
