Job summary

South Mountain Rehab Center in Boonsboro, MD, is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our dietary services team. You will help prepare meals, assemble trays, and serve residents with a friendly, professional demeanor in a clean dining environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and strong communication, with responsibilities including sanitizing areas, stocking supplies, and adhering to food safety procedures. No prior healthcare experience is required, but preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous food service or healthcare experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Dependable with a positive attitude.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Must be able to pass required pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and tray assembly.
• Serve meals to residents in a friendly and professional manner.
• Deliver and collect meal trays.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen, dining, and food preparation areas.
• Stock food and supplies as needed.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Work closely with the dietary team to provide excellent service to our residents.
