Job summary

Honey Grove Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking a Dietary Aide to support the kitchen team in preparing, serving, and cleaning up meals for patients and staff.

Responsibilities include assisting the cook, preparing nourishments and desserts, labeling foods, and following production guides. Candidates should have clear communication, basic sanitation knowledge, and previous food service or long-term care exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to read and understand English for business necessity.
• Basic understanding of sanitation, organization and safety.
• Prior experience in food service preferred.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists cook as directed by the food service director.
• Prepares and labels nourishments according to center procedures.
• Prepares and portions desserts, salads and other non-entrée foods into dishes; pours beverages.
• Follows production sheets and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriate.
