Job summary

Pillar of Cedar Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support meal preparation and dining services for residents. You will assist with meal prep, tray assembly, and serving, while maintaining a clean and sanitary work area. Shifts include 1st shift 5:00am-2:00pm or 2nd shift 11am-7pm; EOW may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• ServSafe Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of meals and beverages.
• Participate in the food tray line and prepare trays according to diet cards to meet meal/snack times.
• Assist with loading food carts and serving meals to residents and guests.
• Bag and store food items as directed.
• Bus and clean tables after meal times.
• Discard waste into proper containers and maintain sanitation.
