Job summary

Pinnacle Dietary Global in New Jersey seeks a Kitchen Assistant to help prepare and serve meals, follow yield guides, and support daily kitchen operations. You will plan meals, chop ingredients, and ensure portions are accurate while maintaining sanitation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, Serve Safe certification, strong teamwork and communication, and the ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Serve Safe Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves food according to menus and in correct portion sizes as mandated by yield guides.
• Perform various job flows as needed and directed by DDS.
• Plan weekly meals, prepare, and chop ingredients.
• Keeps food preparation areas sanitized and orderly.
• Cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, cleaning of equipment and work areas, dishwashing, and pot washing.
• Brews coffee, fills beverage machines, sets up hot and/or cold food areas.
• Stores silverware, dishes, glasses, cups, pots, etc.
• Collects and strips trays for dishwashing and participates in ware washing if assigned.
• Delivers, when necessary, food to staff, patients, and catering events.
• Complies with all state, Federal, local health department requirements for safe food handling
• Complies with all client location security protocols and guidelines.
• Checks and stores incoming supplies.
• Follows assigned break schedules; work weekends, evenings and holidays are required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
