Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with daily food service operations in a hospital or care facility setting. The role involves learning routines quickly, setting up meal trays, and supporting the kitchen team under supervision.

You will help with dishwashing, food preparation, and maintaining a sanitary environment. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to read procedures and follow recipes, and to obtain a food handlers’ certificate.

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers’ certificate.

• Ability to cooperate with staff across departments.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routines quickly.
• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Strip down returned trays and wash dishes.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine.
• Operate dishwasher and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep, mop floors and maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas.
• Assist with orientation and training of dietary staff.
