Job summary

Highland Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time cook to prepare nutritious and attractive meals and supplements for residents, adhering to federal, state, and corporate guidelines. The role includes supervising staff in the Director of Nutritional Services' absence and participating in meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Basic understanding of cleanliness, organization and safety.
• Prior food service and/or long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The cook prepares, in a timely manner, nutritious and attractive meals and supplements for all residents according to Federal, State and Corporate requirements.
• The cook supervises staff in the absence of the Director of Nutritional Services.
• Attends meetings and in-services as required.
