Job summary

Oakland-Healthcare-and-Wellness-Center in Oakland, CA seeks a Dietary Aide to support nutritious meals and supplements for residents according to orders and safety standards. You will maintain sanitary kitchen operations and assist with program meetings as required.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand English for business necessity.
• Basic understanding of sanitation, organization and safety.
• Prior experience in food service preferred.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely preparation and delivery of nutritious meals and supplements to residents according to physician’s orders and in compliance with Federal, State and Company requirements.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Attend all meetings and in-services as required.
• Report problems and needs to the supervisor in a timely manner.
• Promote teamwork and cooperation with other staff.
• Present a professional image to consumers through dress, behavior and speech.
• Adhere to Company standards for resolving consumer concerns.
• Ensure all patient/resident rights are protected.
