Alameda Center is seeking a Dietary Aide to support our residents with nutritious meals and attentive service in a compassionate, team‑oriented environment. You will perform a variety of food service functions, assist in meal preparation, uphold sanitation standards, and help deliver meals to resident rooms and dining areas.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and understand directions in English.
• Previous Food Service Aide experience is helpful.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices relating to food handling.
• Ability to follow diet lists, portion food as specified and serve food in an appetizing manner.
• Ability to interact positively with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Reports on time, in uniform, ready for duty.
• Delivers food carts, trays, etc. to designated areas, including resident rooms and dining room, as instructed by supervisor.
• Serves – in dining rooms.
• Prepare and deliver snacks as directed.
• Assists in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Reports any discrepancies in his/her area to department supervisor.
• Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights.
• Performs related work as assigned.
