Job summary

Avon Health Center is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to assist kitchen and dining services. This is a per diem role reporting to the Director of Dining Services and involves helping prepare and serve meals, dishwashing, and delivering food to residents in a family-owned, community setting.

The position pays $17.50 per hour with weekend differential where applicable; experience is preferred but on-the-job training is available.

As dietary aide, you will help to prepare and serve food in a family-owned, friendly nursing home setting. You will report to the Director of Dining Services. This is a PER DIEM position.

$17.50/hour plus weekend differential if applicable

Duties Include (but not limited to):

• Help prepare food and meals
• Wash/clean dishes and washroom duties
• Deliver food to facility residents
• Assist with special catering events at facility
• Assist in kitchen as needed

Additional Qualifications:

• Work independently and as a team player
• Communicate well
• Deal tactfully with residents, family members, and staff
• May be required to stand for long periods of time
• May have to lift, push, pull and move equipment and supplies without restrictions
• Must be able to work every other weekend and some holidays as needed by department
• Must be reliable

EXPERIENCE:

Experience preferred but will train the right candidate!
