Job summary

Valir Health is seeking a Dietary Aide in Oklahoma City to assist with meal preparation, service, and cleanup while maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen. The role supports participant-centered dining services and may lead shifts to coordinate daily workflow and ensure food quality and safety.

The position prefers cooking experience, with a focus on organized, independent work and strong customer service and communication abilities. This is a full-time role in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous commercial cooking, institutional food service, healthcare dietary, or restaurant cooking experience preferred.
• Previous experience in a kitchen lead, shift lead, supervisory, or kitchen management role preferred.
• Food Handler Permit (or ability to obtain within required timeframe).
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets, food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention practices preferred.
• Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, and work independently while supporting a team.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• The Dietary Aide assists with the preparation, service, and cleanup of meals and snacks while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment.
• This position supports participant-centered dining services and may serve as a lead staff member during assigned shifts by coordinating daily kitchen workflow and ensuring food quality, safety, and service standards are met.
• Cooking experience is preferred.
