Job summary

The Arbors and The Ivy Assisted Living Communities is hiring a Dietary Aide (Utility Worker) to support our kitchen and dining operations. This full-time or part-time role focuses on maintaining cleanliness, proper food preparation areas, and safe, efficient work routines to ensure a welcoming environment for residents and families.

Candidates should be reliable, able to perform repetitive tasks, and committed to following procedures and safety rules.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years old.
• Dietary or kitchen experience preferred.
• Dependable and team‑oriented.
• Comfortable with repetitive tasks and physical work.
• Follows procedures and safety rules without shortcuts.
• Takes pride in a clean, organized, and safe environment.
• Treats residents and coworkers with respect and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Mop and clean all kitchen areas daily according to health department standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and workspaces.
• Clean cookware and dishwashing areas nightly.
• Perform regular deep‑cleaning of kitchens and dining areas.
• Keep the dishwasher clean and in working order.
• Follow all OSHA and safety procedures.
• Report any accidents or safety concerns immediately.
• Jump in where needed to support the team and keep operations running smoothly.
