Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide General Purpose to support dietary staff in a healthcare setting. The role involves learning routines, preparing meals, serving, washing dishes, and maintaining a clean kitchen.

The employee will work under the Cook and Dietary supervisor and must obtain a food handlers’ certificate. Minimum education is a high school diploma or equivalent, with the ability to read and follow procedures and recipes.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routine quickly and set up meal trays.
• Assist with serving meals and washing dishes.
• Check and record dishwashing water temperatures and chlorine levels.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Carry out trash and groceries and ensure sanitary kitchen conditions.
