Job summary

Valley Village Care Center in North Hollywood's premier rehabilitation location is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with meal prep and serving according to dietary needs and proper portion control.

You will follow menus, assist the Cook or Dietary Manager, and maintain clean and safe kitchen spaces in a healthcare environment. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability and adherence to food safety guidelines, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in food service or healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to read and follow menus, recipes, and instructions.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and cooking.
• Assist in preparation and serving of meals according to dietary requirements and portion control.
• Follow menus and prepare food items as directed by the Cook or Dietary Manager.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
