Job summary

Apple Rehab Mystic is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in meal preparation and dining area cleanup, while ensuring safe food handling and sanitation. You will interact daily with residents and help maintain clean work areas according to infection control guidelines.

Responsibilities include receiving and stocking supplies, rotating stock, and following safety procedures. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50lbs and communicate professionally with residents, staff and family members.

Qualifications

• Ability to walk, bend, lift, push, pull, turn, stoop and stretch.
• Ability to unload and stock groceries on shelves of various heights and to lift large items up to 50lbs.
• Ability to write and record data, to read and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to remain calm and work efficiently in cases of emergency.
• Ability to communicate with residents, staff, family members in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of meals and snacks and clean dining areas.
• Assist with receiving, rotating and storing supplies and food.
• Interact daily with residents in the community.
• Ensure infection control, safety and sanitation in food handling and storage.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and report safety or sanitation violations.
