Job summary

ISH Dining Services in Willow Grove, PA is seeking part-time and full-time Dietary Aides to support meal prep and service from 4pm to 8pm. Under supervision, you assist in preparing meals and transporting trays to resident floors, while keeping work areas clean and compliant with safety and infection control policies.

The role requires coordinating with the Food Service Director, attending mandatory in-service education, and following CMS vaccination guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and assists in the preparation of meals, snacks and beverages.
• Assembles trays, cleans and stores supplies and equipment.
• Maintains clean food service work areas during service.
• Labels nourishment and transports to resident floors.
• Transports trays and carts to/from resident floors.
• Uses equipment per manufacturer instructions and follows cleaning/maintenance schedules.
• Handles and stores food, ensuring compliance with procedures and regulations.
• Follows infection control policies and uses PPE as indicated.

Starting at $15hr we are looking for PT Dietary aides from 4pm to 8pm.

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Food service or the Assistant Food Service Director, the Food Service Aide works in the kitchen assisting in the preparation and service of food and follows a cleaning schedule. The service of food may include the transporting of food trays to the nursing units.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares and/or assists in preparation of meals, snacks and beverages.
• Responsible for or assists in assembling trays, cleaning and storage of supplies and equipment.
• Continuously cleans food service work areas as food preparation and service is done.
• Labels nourishment and sends or transports them to resident floors.
• Transporting trays and carts to or from the resident floors.
• Uses all equipment according to manufacturer instructions. Follow proper cleaning techniques and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Handles, stores, and disposes of food supplies and prepares food in accord with department procedures and in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Follows facility policies and procedures for infection control at all times to maintain sanitary preparation and storage areas. Uses personal protective equipment when indicated. Follow facility procedures for resident trays that require special handling.
• Inspects food service work areas for evidence of rodents or pests, safety, or fire hazards, housekeeping and maintenance problems. Corrects problem and/or reports problems promptly to Director of Food Service.
• Communicates with Director of Food Service or Assistant Director of Food Service throughout shift as needed to best meet needs of residents.
• Assists department head with preparation for state inspections. Attends survey training. Interacts with state surveyors as instructed by supervisor.
• Attends in-service education as assigned. Applies information to job tasks.
• Reports injury to self and others to supervisory immediately
• Must follow CMS mandate/guidelines for vaccination
