Job summary

Atlas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a full-time Dietary Aide to support our residents in a health care facility. The role requires working weeknights, weekends and holidays, with rotating shifts as needed to ensure dining services are provided around the clock.

The Dietary Aide will assist in meal preparation, tray assembly, and service to residents and staff, while maintaining safety, sanitation, and timely food delivery within the dietary department.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of meals and beverages.
• Participate in the food tray line and prepare trays according to diet cards.
• Assist with loading food carts and serving meals to Residents and staff.
• Bag and store food items as directed.
• Clean and wrap silverware, inspect for cleanliness before wrapping.
• Bus and clean tables after meals.
• Scrape, wash, and rack unclean dishes and utensils.
• Assist in operating the dish-washing machine.
• Sort and stack clean dishes and inspect cleanliness.
• Store clean dishes, utensils, and cutlery properly.
• Assist in table setup (tablecloths, silverware, dishware, water).
• Dispose of waste into proper containers per sanitation guidelines.
• Keep work area clean and free of hazards.
• Store equipment, tools and supplies properly.
• Report equipment malfunctions and supply needs to supervisor.
• Report hazardous conditions and incidents to Dietary Supervisor.
• Communicate effectively with Residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
• Attend meetings and in-services as scheduled.
