Position Details

Title: Dietary Aide

FLSA: Non-Exempt, Full-Time (37.5 hours/week)

Work Schedule: 12PM - 8PM, Monday through Friday, with alternating weekends

Wage Range: $16.00/hr - $19.00/hr, based on experience

Sedgebrook is seeking a hospitality-focused Dietary Aide responsible for preparing and serving therapeutic diet trays to health center residents according to posted menus.

Essential Job Duties
  • Serve meals in the health center pantries
  • Wash silver, glass, china in dish machines as per regulations
  • Provide snacks and supplements per diet orders
  • Maintain stock and sanitation levels in coffee and juice machines
  • Set tables and maintain workstations
  • Take orders and provide courteous service
  • Clear dishes during and after meals
  • Ensure orders match Physician's diet specifications
Qualifications
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform basic arithmetic
  • Ability to interpret measurements and standards for tray and plate setup
  • Ability to work cooperatively with residents, families, and staff with empathy for the elderly
  • Food Service Handler Certification required
  • At least one year of dietary experience in a senior living community
