Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, seeks a Diet Aide to support patient nutrition under supervision of the Food & Nutrition Services Director, Supervisor, or Lead.

The role involves reviewing diet orders, preparing meals according to therapeutic diets, and delivering meals to patient care units with timely cart return to the dish room.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• ServSafe Certification preferred within 6 months of hire.
• Dietary experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains diet orders, supplement orders, and allergies from Cerner CBORD diet reports to provide patients with adequate nutrition.
• Obtains menu preferences and meal orders in CBORD software.
• Prepares all food items and patient meals based on therapeutic diet orders and approved recipes.
• Delivers patient meals to units and returns carts to the kitchen dish room at designated times.

Job summary:
