Job summary

The Homestead of Denison is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our care team. You will support meal service, assist with meal prep, and help maintain a clean dining environment in a skilled nursing setting.

Responsibilities include serving meals, delivering snacks, and adhering to safety, sanitation, and infection control policies. Training and patient-focused teamwork are essential to our residents' well-being.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Food Handler Certification required.
  • Up to one year experience in a dietary/food service role.

Responsibilities

  • Follow facility food procedures and sanitation policies.
  • Assist in cleaning duties and food prep per protocols.
  • Deliver meals and snacks; serve food in dining areas.
  • Set up meal trays and dining areas; monitor portions.
  • Assist with special meals/events and food substitutions as needed.
  • Support in keeping storage areas clean and organized.
  • Report accidents, hazards, or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
