Covenant Retirement Communities & Covenant Care is seeking a Dietary Aide to support residents with nutritious meals and attentive service. You will work under the supervision of a Dietitian/Chef, assist with food prep, delivery, and dining area upkeep, while maintaining high food safety standards and compassionate resident care.

The role requires a high school diploma, a current Food Handler’s Permit, and some food service experience; ServSafe training is a plus.

• Must be cordial and congenial with residents.
• Must be dependable, detail oriented, organized, and have good follow through.
• Must be able to handle various tasks and functions with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Deliver dishes, trays, and designated times and rooms.
• Assist in setting up and clearing dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order.
• Follow all sanitation guidelines, federal/state regulations, and Senior Living/Healthcare requirements; maintain cleanliness of prep items.
• Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled and/or needed.
• Provide customer service and hospitality during nutrition delivery.

Join us!*The Dietary Aide, or Nutrition Aide, is responsible for preparing and delivering healthy meals and ensuring that patients have the proper foods based on their needs. They work closely with Dietitians, providing them details on allergies or restrictions to create plans accordingly. Prepare food according to instructions while adhering strictly to safety and health standards. Uses strong attention to detail for all meal preparation to ensure patients receive appropriate food and nutritional needs. Applies effective communication skills since they work directly with patients, Dietitians, and other medical professionals. Dietary Aids work with patients to ensure they get the nutrition they need throughout the day. Guided by a lead Dietitian or Chef who oversees the distribution of food and drinks to patients throughout the shift.**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:** 1.
