The dietary aide's assignments are determined based on the activity level of the shift. He/she reports to the Cook and Dietary Supervisor.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read technical procedures, follow recipes, and effectively communicate with managers and employees.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
Must obtain and maintain a food handler's certificate.
This position requires standing and/or walking frequently, sitting occasionally, reaching, pushing/pulling, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling is also required. Good vision for close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception is necessary.
The work environment is typically low to moderate noise level. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
