Jefferson City Health & Rehab Center is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with the preparation and service of food for residents, staff, and events. You will follow proper food handling and safety techniques while maintaining a clean, safe kitchen and dining area.

The position involves preparing and portioning meals, following standardized recipes, ensuring meals meet dietary orders, and delivering meals on schedule in a team-focused setting. Prior food service experience is desired.

Formación

• Knowledge of safe food preparation and handling.
• Ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the job.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares and portions food for regular and therapeutic diets according to planned menus.
• Uses standardized recipes to prepare items and ensures meals are plated attractively.
• Delivers meals and snacks on time to designated areas.
• Maintains proper food temperatures during preparation and service and records temperatures.
• Serves resident meals as ordered and according to dietary restrictions.
• Labels, dates, and stores food properly.
• Maintains clean, organized work areas and follows cleaning procedures.
• Assists in receiving, storing, and verifying invoices for food and supplies.
• Keeps adequate stock levels and notifies supervisor of shortages.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment safely and reports issues promptly.
• Works as part of a teamwork-driven environment with residents, families, and visitors.
