Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to assist with daily food preparation and delivery of meals for patients at Knoxville Center for Behavioral Medicine, a comprehensive inpatient behavioral health facility providing acute care and outpatient treatment for adults and geriatric patients experiencing behavioral health or substance use disorder crises.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cold and hot foods for patient meals, adhering to standardized recipes and food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining, and serving areas.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health regulations and policies.
• Assist in storing and handling food properly to ensure quality and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Interest in food service and working with healthcare patients.
• Willingness to learn food preparation, therapeutic diet information, and sanitation procedures.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions effectively.
• ServSafe Certification or similar food safety certification as required.
