• We are hiring immediately for a full-time CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER position.
• Location: University of Tennessee Medical Center - 1924 Alcoa Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time; days may vary, from 5:45am to 6:30pm. Rotating weekends. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Prior food service experience preferred. Willing to train!

Job Summary

Operates Point of Sale system, assists the Chef, prepares coffee, and maintains cleanliness of the coffee and cashier stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist in preparing foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts, including catering orders.
2. Perform cashier duties using the POS system.
3. Perform general cleaning duties; manage trash and garbage.
4. Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
5. Handle cashiering accurately, maintain cash accuracy, and make deposits.
6. Inventory and restock supplies and food products.
7. Set up serving line, monitor food temperatures, and notify cooks if needed.
8. Serve hot and cold items to customers.
9. Prepare items for purchase daily.
10. Maintain refrigerator stock and rotate products using FIFO.
11. Stock pantries and record replenishments and refrigerator temperatures daily.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
