Grace Cottage Family Health & Hospital is seeking a Dietaries Aide to support the dietary team in preparing meals, ensuring safety and sanitation, and assisting with dietary needs for patients and staff.
The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic English literacy, and adherence to recipes and dietary standards. Training and certification in food safety are encouraged, with a supportive work environment at Grace Cottage.
The Dietary Aide helps the dietitian make sure patients get the right food and nutrition. They help organize and prepare food for meals. They keep the kitchen clean, safe, and sanitary, and make sure food is prepared correctly and follows all safety rules and special diet requirements. The Dietary Aide works closely with the Dietary Director, dietitians, other dietary staff, and employees from other departments as needed.
Education/ Experience: High school graduate or equivalent. Experience in Food Safety desired, but not necessary. ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training or willingness to get certified in a food safety program.
Other Requirements: Minimum 18 years of age and be able to read, write and speak English. Ability to follow standardized recipes. Ability to calculate fluid restrictions, carbohydrate counting and diet modifications.
